Description

ERp57 Antibody [4F9]

ERp57 Antibody [4F9] is a mouse monoclonal antibody directed against ERp57, offered by Assay Genie for research applications. Reported applications include WB and ICC/IF. Reported reactivity: Human. Supplied as IgG1, purified by Protein G.

ERp57, also known as PDIA3, is a thiol-disulfide isomerase involved in protein folding and quality control within the endoplasmic reticulum (ER). In the brain, ERp57 plays a critical role in maintaining proteostasis, particularly under conditions of ER stress—a key feature of neurodegenerative diseases. ERp57 is upregulated in response to misfolded protein accumulation, as seen in Alzheimer’s, ALS, and prion diseases. It interacts with calnexin and calreticulin to assist in the proper folding of glycoproteins, including those involved in synaptic function and neuronal survival. Dysregulation of ERp57 impairs the unfolded protein response (UPR), contributing to neuronal dysfunction and cell death. Given its role in mitigating proteotoxic stress, ERp57 is emerging as a potential therapeutic target for enhancing cellular resilience in neurodegeneration. This antibody is also available conjugated to ATTO 390, ATTO 488, ATTO 594, APC, Biotin, FITC, HRP, PerCP and RPE. Supplied in 100 µg. For research use only; not for diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.
