Description
Product Name: | Human PGLYRP1 Recombinant Protein |
Product Code: | RPPB5911 |
Size: | 10µg |
Species: | Human |
Target: | PGLYRP1 |
Synonyms: | Peptidoglycan recognition protein 1, Peptidoglycan recognition protein short, PGRP-S, PGLYRP1, PGLYRP, PGRP, TNFSF3L, TAG7, PGRPS. |
Source: | Escherichia Coli |
Physical Appearance: | Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder. |
Formulation: | PGLYRP1 filtered (0.4 m) and lyophilized from 0.5mg/ml in 0.05M Acetate buffer pH-4.0. |
Solubility: | It is recommended to add 200l of 0.1M Acetate buffer pH-4 to prepare a working stock solution of approximately 0.5mg/ml and let the lyophilized pellet dissolve completely at 37C. For conversion into higher pH value, we recommend intensive dilution by relevant buffer to a concentration of 10g/ml. In higher concentrations the solubility of this antigen is limited. PGLYRP1 is not sterile! Please filter the product by an appropriate sterile filter before using it in the cell culture. |
Stability: | Store lyophilized protein at -20°C. Aliquot the product after reconstitution to avoid repeated freezing/thawing cycles. Reconstituted protein can be stored at 4°C for a limited period of time; it does not show any change after two weeks at 4°C. |
Purity: | Greater than 90.0% as determined by SDS-PAGE. |

Peptidoglycan Recognition Protein 1 (PGLYRP1) is a member of the N-acetylmuramoyl-L-alanine amidase 2 family. PGLYRP1 binds to peptidoglycan of bacteria and affects the peptidoglycan biosynthesis. PGLYRP1 displays bactericidal activity towards Gram-positive bacteria and is bacteriostatic towards Gram-negative bacteria. PGLYRP1 has a role in innate immunity. PGLYRP1 is highly expressed in the bone marrow, and weakly expressed in the kidney, liver, small intestine, spleen, thymus, peripheral leukocyte, lung, fetal spleen and neutrophils.
PGLYRP1 Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain (a.a 22-196) containing 185 amino acids including a 10 a.a N-terminal His tag. The total molecular mass is 20.68kDa (calculated).
UniProt Protein Function: | PGLYRP1: Pattern receptor that binds to murein peptidoglycans (PGN) of Gram-positive bacteria. Has bactericidal activity towards Gram-positive bacteria. May kill Gram-positive bacteria by interfering with peptidoglycan biosynthesis. Binds also to Gram- negative bacteria, and has bacteriostatic activity towards Gram- negative bacteria. Plays a role in innate immunity. Belongs to the N-acetylmuramoyl-L-alanine amidase 2 family. |
