Fibroblast growth factor 8 (FGF-8) is a member of the fibroblast growth factor family. FGF-8 is found to be a growth factor required for mouse mammary carcinoma cell androgen dependence. The mouse protein named Mouse FGF-8b shares 100% identity with human FGF-8b. During embryogenesis, FGF-8 is abundantly expressed and participates in epithelial-mesenchymal transitions. It is required for the proper development of embryos, cell proliferation, cellular differentiation, and migration. It is required for proper brain, eye, ear, limb development during embryogenesis and GnRH neuronal system development. Human/Mouse FGF-8b/FGF8B Recombinant Protein is a highly pure recombinant protein developed by Assay Genie for use in a range of applications.
