Human Chemokine (C-C Motif) Ligand 23 (CCL23) is a small cytokine belonging to the CC chemokine family. CCL23 is also known as myeloid progenitor inhibitory factor MPIF-1, CK8 and SCYA23. The mature CCL23 protein is encoded by the CCL23 gene. The precursor protein contains a putative 21 amino acid signal peptide that is cleaved to generate a final product of 99 amino acids in length. The 75 amino acid residue peptide (amino acid 46-120) resulting from N-terminal processing of the 99 amino acid variant is considerably more active than the 99 amino acid variant. CCL23 binds to CCR1 with high affinity and has chemotactic activity for monocytes, dendritic cells, and osteoclast progenitors. CCL23 enhances the development of angiogenesis in endothelial cells, but inhibits progenitor cell proliferation, resulting in granulocyte and monocyte lineage formation. Human CCL23 Recombinant Protein is a highly pure recombinant protein developed by Assay Genie for use in a range of applications.
Recombinant Human CCL23 is produced by our E.coli expression system and the target gene encoding Arg22-Asn120 is expressed.
