BTN2A1 is found on chromosome 6 within a group of butyrophilin-like genes located in the juxta-telomeric region of the major histocompatibility complex. It encodes for the immunoglobulin superfamily of proteins. BTN2A1 is a lipid, fatty acid, and sterol metabolism protein that is found in the plasma membrane. A number of illnesses have been linked to changes in BTN2A1, including metabolic syndrome. Two BTN2A1-related pathways are antigen processing and presentation, which is carried out by the Innate Immune System and Class I MHC. Human BTN2A1 Recombinant Protein is a highly pure recombinant protein developed by Assay Genie for use in a range of applications.
