The CD324/E-Cadherin Polyclonal Antibody (CAB24874) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. E-cadherin is a calcium-dependent cell adhesion molecule encoded by CDH1, essential for establishing and maintaining epithelial cell morphology during embryogenesis and adulthood. Disruption of calcium binding causes embryonic lethality in mice due to failed blastocyst formation, and dysregulation of E-cadherin is strongly implicated in epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition and cancer progression.

This antibody is validated for use in WB, ELISA applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Human, Mouse samples.

This gene encodes E-cadherin, a calcium-dependent cell adhesion molecule that functions in the establishment and maintenance of epithelial cell morphology during embryongenesis and adulthood. The encoded preproprotein undergoes proteolytic processing to generate a mature protein. Targeted mutations disrupting binding of calcium to the encoded protein in mice cause death in utero due to failed blastocyst and trophectoderm formation. This gene is located adjacent to a related cadherin gene on chromosome 8.
