Description

LAMP2 Antibody [GL2A7]

LAMP2 Antibody [GL2A7] is a rat monoclonal antibody directed against LAMP2, offered by Assay Genie for research applications. Reported applications include WB, ICC/IF and IP. Reported reactivity: Human, Mouse and Rabbit. Supplied as IgG1, purified by Protein G.

LAMP2 (Lysosome-Associated Membrane Protein 2) is a transmembrane glycoprotein essential for lysosomal function and autophagy. It facilitates the maturation of autophagic vacuoles and the degradation of cellular debris. LAMP2 is expressed in lysosomes, late endosomes, and at the plasma membrane, where it may mediate cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions. In neurodegenerative diseases, LAMP2 deficiency or dysfunction impairs autophagic clearance, leading to the accumulation of toxic proteins and organelles. This contributes to neuronal death in disorders such as Danon disease, Parkinson’s disease, and Alzheimer’s disease. LAMP2 also participates in immune responses, promoting leukocyte adhesion and mast cell activation. Its role in lysosomal trafficking and neuroinflammation underscores its importance as a biomarker and therapeutic target in neurodegeneration. This antibody is also available conjugated to ATTO 390, ATTO 488, ATTO 594, APC, Biotin, FITC, HRP, PerCP and RPE. Supplied in 100 µg. For research use only; not for diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.
