![]() | IHC image of PACO60464 diluted at 1:200 and staining in paraffin-embedded human liver cancer performed on a Leica BondTM system. After dewaxing and hydration, antigen retrieval was mediated by high pressure in a citrate buffer (pH 6.0). Section was blocked with 10% normal goat serum 30min at RT. Then primary antibody (1% BSA) was incubated at 4°C overnight. The primary is detected by a biotinylated secondary antibody and visualized using an HRP conjugated SP system. |
Background: | Sulfotransferase that catalyzes the transfer of sulfate to the position 2 of uronyl residues. Has mainly activity toward iduronyl residues in dermatan sulfate, and weaker activity toward glucuronyl residues of chondroitin sulfate. Has no activity toward desulfated N-resulfated heparin. |
Synonyms: | Uronyl 2-sulfotransferase (EC 2.8.2), UST, DS2ST |
UniProt Protein Function: | UST: Sulfotransferase that catalyzes the transfer of sulfate to the position 2 of uronyl residues. Has mainly activity toward iduronyl residues in dermatan sulfate, and weaker activity toward glucuronyl residues of chondroitin sulfate. Has no activity toward desulfated N-resulfated heparin. Belongs to the sulfotransferase 3 family.Protein type: Transferase; EC 2.8.2.-; Membrane protein, integral; Glycan Metabolism - chondroitin sulfate biosynthesisChromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 6q25.1Cellular Component: Golgi membraneMolecular Function: sulfotransferase activityBiological Process: dermatan sulfate biosynthetic process; protein amino acid sulfation |
