Interleukin-5 receptor subunit alpha (Il5ra) regulates the development and function of eosinophils. The Il5ra protein is a therapeutic target for hypereosinophilic diseases including allergic inflammations and asthma. Oct2 enhances antibody-secreting cell differentiation via regulation of Il5ra chain expression on activated B cells.
IL5RA Mouse Recombinant produced in Sf9 Baculovirus cells is a single, glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 330 amino acids (18-339a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 37.8kDa (Molecular size on SDS-PAGE will appear at approximately 40-57kDa).IL5RA is expressed with an 8 amino acid His tag at C-Terminus and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
UniProt Protein Function: | IL5RA: This is the receptor for interleukin-5. The alpha chain binds to IL5. Belongs to the type I cytokine receptor family. Type 5 subfamily. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.Protein type: Membrane protein, integral; Receptor, cytokineChromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 6 E1|6 49.19 cMCellular Component: integral component of membrane; membraneMolecular Function: hematopoietin/interferon-class (D200-domain) cytokine receptor activityBiological Process: cellular response to organic substance; inflammatory response to antigenic stimulus; regulation of interleukin-5 production |
