Gltathione S-transferase PI 2, also known as GSTP2 is multifunctionalenzyme which is involved in the protection ofcellular components against anti-cancer drugs or peroxidative stress. Furthermore,down regulation of GSTP2 induces an increaseof oxidative damage in the pyramidal cells of the CA1&CA3 regions as wellas in the granular layer of the dentate gyrus, whichat the end leads to structural and functional damage.
GSTP2 Mouse Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single,non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 233 amino acids (1-210 a.a) andhaving a molecular mass of 25.9kDa. GSTP2 is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus& purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
