Angiopoietin-related protein 7 (ANGPTL7), belongs to the angiopoietin-like family of molecules. ANGPTL7 is expressed in the corneal stroma, trabecular meshwork, and sclera. ANGPTL7 production is up-regulated in trabecular meshwork cells by glucocorticoids and TGF-Beta and in cartilage by TNF-alpha.
ANGPTL7 produced in Sf9 Baculovirus cells is a single,glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 324 amino acids (22-337 a.a.) andhaving a molecular mass of 37.5kDa (Migrates at 40-57kDa on SDS-PAGE underreducing conditions).ANGPTL7 is expressed with an 8 amino acid His tag atC-Terminus and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
