TPD52L1 (hD53, hD53L1) is a member of D52 gene family and overexpressed in human breast carcinoma. TPD52L1 contains coiled-coil motif, which is responsible for homo- and heteromeric interaction, and may be a regulator of cell proliferation and calcium-mediated signal transduction. Moreover, TPD52L1 interacts with the mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase kinase 5 (MAP3K5/ASK1) and positively regulates MAP3K5-induced apoptosis.
TPD52L1 Human Recombinant His-Tag fusion protein produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain (21-151 a.a) containing amino acids 151 and having a molecular mass of 16.8 kDa.TPD52L1 is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
UniProt Protein Function: | TPD52L1: a member of the tumor protein D52 (TPD52) family. Contains a coiled-coil domain and may form homo- or hetero-dimer with TPD52 family members. The protein is reported to be involved in cell proliferation and calcium signaling. Interacts with the apoptosis signal-regulating kinase 1 (ASK1) and positively regulates ASK1-induced apoptosis. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants have been observed. |
UniProt Protein Details: | Protein type:Adaptor/scaffold Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 6q22-q23 Cellular Component: perinuclear region of cytoplasm; cytoplasm Molecular Function:identical protein binding; protein binding; protein homodimerization activity; protein heterodimerization activity Biological Process: positive regulation of MAP kinase activity; positive regulation of JNK cascade; G2/M transition of mitotic cell cycle; regulation of caspase activity |
NCBI Summary: | This gene encodes a member of a family of proteins that contain coiled-coil domains and may form hetero- or homomers. The encoded protein is involved in cell proliferation and calcium signaling. It also interacts with the mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase kinase 5 (MAP3K5/ASK1) and positively regulates MAP3K5-induced apoptosis. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants have been observed. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2016] |
