Synaptotagmin-3 (SYT3) is a member of the synaptotagmin family. SYT3 is involved in Ca(2+)-dependent exocytosis of secretory vesicles through Ca(2+) and phospholipid binding to the C2 domain or may function as Ca(2+) sensors in the process of vesicular trafficking and exocytosis.
SYT3 Human Recombinant produced in E.coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 540 amino acids (76-590) and having a molecular mass of 57.7 kDa.SYT3 is fused to a 25 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
UniProt Protein Function: | SYT3: May be involved in Ca(2+)-dependent exocytosis of secretory vesicles through Ca(2+) and phospholipid binding to the C2 domain or may serve as Ca(2+) sensors in the process of vesicular trafficking and exocytosis. Belongs to the synaptotagmin family. |
