SNRPD3 is a small nuclear ribonucleoprotein (snRNPs) that contains the spliceosome in eukaryotes. SNRPD3 is essential for pre-mRNA splicing and small nuclear ribonucleoprotein biogenesis. Alternative splicing happens in this locus and two transcript variants encoding the same protein were branded.
SNRPD3 Human Recombinant produced in SF9 is a glycosylated, polypeptide chain having a calculated molecular mass of 14,739 Dalton. SNRPD3 is expressed with a -6x His tag at N-terminus and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
UniProt Protein Function: | snRNP D3: Appears to function in the U7 snRNP complex that is involved in histone 3'-end processing. Binds to the downstream cleavage product (DCP) of histone pre-mRNA in a U7 snRNP dependent manner. Belongs to the snRNP core protein family. |

NCBI Summary: | This gene encodes a core component of the spliceosome, which is a nuclear ribonucleoprotein complex that functions in pre-mRNA splicing. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2013] |
