SNRPD1 is a small nuclear ribonucleoprotein which is a member of the SNRNP core protein family. SNRPD1 may act as a charged protein scaffold to stimulate SNRNP assembly or strengthen SNRNP-SNRNP interactions via nonspecific electrostatic contacts with RNA. In the autoimmune disease systemic lupus erythematosus, antinuclear antibodies are developed with Sm specificity.
SNRPD1 Human Recombinant produced in SF9 is a glycosylated, polypeptide chain having a calculated molecular mass of 14,306 Dalton. SNRPD1 is expressed with a -6x His tag at N-terminus and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
| UniProt Protein Function: | snRNP D1: May act as a charged protein scaffold to promote snRNP assembly or strengthen snRNP-snRNP interactions through nonspecific electrostatic contacts with RNA. Belongs to the snRNP core protein family. |

| NCBI Summary: | This gene encodes a small nuclear ribonucleoprotein that belongs to the SNRNP core protein family. The protein may act as a charged protein scaffold to promote SNRNP assembly or strengthen SNRNP-SNRNP interactions through nonspecific electrostatic contacts with RNA. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, May 2014] |
