SLAMF7 belongs to the CS2 family of cell surface receptors. SLAMF7 is asingle-pass type 1 membrane protein, SLAMF7 Isoform 1 mediates NK cellactivation via a SH2D1A-independent extracellularsignal-regulated ERK-mediated pathway.SLAMF7 functions in lymphocyte adhesion.Furthermore, SLAMF7 can exert activatingof inhibitory influences on cells of the immune system depending on cellular context as well as the availability of effector proteins.
SLAMF7 produced in Sf9 Baculovirus cells is a single, glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 212 amino acids (23-226a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 23.4kDa (Molecular size on SDS-PAGE will appear at approximately 28-40kDa). SLAMF7 is expressed with an 8 amino acid His tag at C-Terminus and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
UniProt Protein Function: | SLAMF7: Isoform 1 mediates NK cell activation through a SH2D1A- independent extracellular signal-regulated ERK-mediated pathway. May play a role in lymphocyte adhesion. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing. |
