Rab2B is a member of the small GTPase superfamily, whose members are nontransforming monomeric GTP-binding proteins of the Ras superfamily and contain 4 highly conserved regions involved in GTP binding and hydrolysis. Rab proteins are prenylated, membrane-bound proteins engaged in vesicular fusion and trafficking.
RAB2B Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 240 amino acids (1-216 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 26.8kDa. RAB2B is fused to a 24 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
UniProt Protein Function: | RAB2B: Required for protein transport from the endoplasmic reticulum to the Golgi complex (Potential). Belongs to the small GTPase superfamily. Rab family.Protein type: G protein, monomeric; G protein; G protein, monomeric, RabChromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 14q11.2Molecular Function: protein bindingBiological Process: positive regulation of exocytosis |
