RAB10, Member RAS Oncogene Family (RAB10) belongs to the Ras superfamily of small GTP-binding proteins. RAB10 is a key regulator of endocytic recycling, particularly in the basolateral recycling pathways of polarized epithelial cells. It is required for the recruitment of CNT-1 to endosomal membranes in the intestinal epithelium.
RAB10 Human Recombinant produced in E.coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 220 amino acids (1-200) and having a molecular mass of 24.7 kDa. RAB10 is fused to a 20 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
UniProt Protein Function: | RAB10: a protein of the GTPase superfamily, Rab family. May be involved in vesicular trafficking and neurotransmitter release. Localized to the inner face of the cell membrane by a lipid-anchor. |

NCBI Summary: | RAB10 belongs to the RAS (see HRAS; MIM 190020) superfamily of small GTPases. RAB proteins localize to exocytic and endocytic compartments and regulate intracellular vesicle trafficking (Bao et al., 1998 [PubMed 9918381]).[supplied by OMIM, Mar 2009] |
