Polyubiquitin-B(UBB) is one of Ubiquitins. Ubiquitin is a highly conserved protein in eukaryotes. ATP-dependent, non-lysosomal intracellular protein degradation of abnormal proteins and normal proteins with a quick turnover is dependent on ubiquitin. Ubiquitin is covalently attached to proteins for destruction, and it is likely that it marks these components for degradation.
