Oncomodulin is a EF-hand protein that binds calcium ions with exceptional affinity. It is a member of the calmodulin superfamily. Oncomodulin is an oncodevelopmental protein that may be found in the placenta and cancerous tumors. Oncomodulin is also associated with Leiomyomatosis and Vulvar Benign Neoplasms.
