Nescient Helix Loop Helix 2 (NHLH2) belongs to the basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) transcription factor family. NHLH2 is expressed in developing and adult neuroendocrine tissues for example the pituitary and hypothalamus. NHLH2 can act as a DNA-binding protein and may be involved in the control of cell-type determination, probably in the developing nervous system.

NHLH2 Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 158 amino acids (1-135 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 17.4kDa.NHLH2 is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
