Neurotrophin-3 (NT-3) is a neurotrophic factor that belongs to the NGF family and is structurally similar to beta-NGF, BDNF, and NT-4. The NT3 cDNA sequences a 257-amino acid precursor protein with a signal peptide and proprotein that are removed to generate the 119-amino acid mature NT3. The mature human, murine, and rat NT-3 amino acid sequences are identical. NT-3 selectively promotes the differentiation and survival of specific neuronal subpopulations in both the central as well as the peripheral nervous systems. Human Neurotrophin-3/NTF3 Recombinant Protein is a highly pure recombinant protein developed by Assay Genie for use in a range of applications.
