The NCF2, also known as NCF-2 and p67phox, is a subunit of the multi-protein NADPH oxidase complex. The latent NADPH oxidase is activated by three enzymes: NCF2, NCF1, and a membrane-bound cytochrome b558. This oxidase produces a burst of superoxide which is delivered to the lumen of the neutrophil phagosome. Chronic granulomatous disease is a condition in which the NCF2 gene, as well as other NADPH oxidase subunit genes, are mutated. Human NCF2/P67phox Recombinant Protein is a highly pure recombinant protein developed by Assay Genie for use in a range of applications.
