Formulation:The HOMER3 solution (1mg/1ml) contains 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0), 150mM NaCl, 1mM DTT and 30% glycerol.
Stability:Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
Purity:Greater than 90% as determined by SDS-PAGE.

HOMER3 belongs to the HOMER family of postsynaptic density scaffolding proteins which have an analogous domain structure consisting of an N-terminal Enabled/vasodilator-stimulated phosphoprotein homology 1 domain that facilitates protein-protein relations, and two leucine zipper and a carboxy-terminal coiled-coil domain motifs which take part in self-oligomerization.

HOMER3 Human Recombinant produced in�E. coli is a single polypeptide chain containing 386 amino acids (1-361) and having a molecular mass of 42.5kDa.HOMER3 is fused to a 24 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

UniProt Protein Function:HOMER3: Postsynaptic density scaffolding protein. Binds and cross-links cytoplasmic regions of GRM1, GRM5, ITPR1, DNM3, RYR1, RYR2, SHANK1 and SHANK3. By physically linking GRM1 and GRM5 with ER-associated ITPR1 receptors, it aids the coupling of surface receptors to intracellular calcium release. Isoforms can be differently regulated and may play an important role in maintaining the plasticity at glutamatergic synapses.
