Members of the glypican-related integral membrane proteoglycan family (GRIPS) have a core protein linked to the cytoplasmic membrane via a glycosyl phosphatidylinositol link. GPC3 appears to be involved in cell division and growth control. GPC3 binds to and inhibits CD26's dipeptidyl peptidase activity, causing cell death. GRIPS is a key component in the cell cycle, DNA repair, and chromatin maintenance. GPC3 has been linked to a number of ailments, including Simpson-Golabi-Behmel Syndrome, Type 1 and Wilms tumor 1. Development VEGF signaling via VEGFR2 and glycosaminoglycan metabolism are two pathways influenced by GPC3. Human Glypican 3/GPC3 Recombinant Protein is a highly pure recombinant protein developed by Assay Genie for use in a range of applications.
