The function of FGF acidic (ECGF/FGF-1/HBGF-1) is a non-glycosylated heparin binding growth factor that is found in the brain, kidney, retina, smooth muscle cells, bone matrix, osteoblasts, astrocytes, and endothelial cells. It is a mitogenic protein that is produced by many cell types, including mesodermal, ectodermal, and endodermal cells, and stimulates the growth of cells from these three layers. The presence of heparan sulfate is required for FGF receptors to be activated. The intracellular FGF acidic is transported to the nucleus, where it is phosphorylated by nuclear PKC delta, then exported to the cytosol dephosphorylated, and broken down. Intracellular FGF acidic inhibits p53 function and proapoptotic signaling. Human FGF/FGFa Recombinant Protein is a highly pure recombinant protein developed by Assay Genie for use in a range of applications.
Recombinant Human Fibroblast growth factor 1/Fibroblast Growth Factor Acidic is produced by our E.coli expression system and the target gene encoding Ala2-Asp155 is expressed.
