Description

Human ETFB / Electron transfer flavoprotein subunit beta ELISA

ETFB (Electron Transfer Flavoprotein Subunit Beta) is a mitochondrial protein that is encoded by the ETFB gene. The ETFB gene is located on the q arm of chromosome 2 in position 22.1 and contains 6 exons. The ETSF protein is a flavoprotein that transfers electrons between complexes I and III of the mitochondrial respiratory chain. It is a homodimer composed of two subunits, beta and gamma. The beta subunit is encoded by the ETFB gene. Mutations in the ETFB gene can result in dysfunction of the electron transfer flavoprotein, which can lead to mitochondrial disorders.
