DyneinAxonemal Light Intermediate Chain 1 also known as DNALI1 belongs to theinner dynein arm light chain family. DNALI1 take a dynamic role in flagellarmotility. DNALI1 is the human homolog of the Chlamydomonas inner dynein armgene, p28. The exact function of DNALI1 is not knownyet, on the other hand, it is a potential candidate for immotile ciliasyndrome. In addition it has been found that the following diseases: primaryciliary dyskinesia, and huntington's disease have been associated with DNALI1. Ultrastructuraldefects of the inner dynein arms are seen in patients with ICS. Immotile mutantstrains of Chlamydomonas, biflagellated algae,show similar defects.

DNALI1 Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 303 amino acids (1-280 a.a) and having a molecular mass of 34.2kDa. DNALI1 is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
