C-typeLectin Domain Family 1 Member B, also known as CLEC1B. NK-Natural killer cellsexpress multiple calcium-dependent (C-type) lectin-like receptors, for instanceCD94 (KLRD1; MIM 602894) and NKG2D (KLRC4; MIM 602893), which interact withmajor histocompatibility complex class I molecules and either inhibit or elseactivate cytotoxicity and cytokine secretion. CLEC1B is a C-type lectin-likereceptor which is expressed in myeloid cells as well as in NK cells.
CLEC1B Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylatedpolypeptide chain containing 198 amino acids (55-229 a.a) and having amolecular mass of 23.1kDa.CLEC1B is fused to a 23amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographictechniques.

Rhodocytin binding leads to tyrosine phosphorylation and this promotes the binding of spleen tyrosine kinase (Syk) and initiation of downstream tyrosine phosphorylation events and activation of PLC-gamma-2. Acts as an attachment factor for human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) and facilitates its capture by platelets. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing. |
