Coiled-Coil-Helix-Coiled-Coil-Helix Domain Containing 7, also known asCHCHD7 is a newly recognized member of a multifamily of proteins which containsa conserved (coiled coil 1)-(helix 1)-(coiled coil 2)-(helix 2) domain. Thebiological function of CHCHD7 is unknown and the gene has up till now not beenconnected with neoplasia. In addition, CHCHD7 & PLAG1 are locatedhead-to-head about 500 bp apart in 8q12. Molecular analyses of twenty seventumors exposed CHCHD7-PLAG1 fusions in three tumors, two of them had t(6;8) andt(8;15) translocations as a singular anomalies and one a normal karyotype.

CHCHD7 Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single,non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 120 amino acids (1-97 a.a) andhaving a molecular mass of 13.9kDa.CHCHD7 is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus& purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
