Description

Human CFTR / Cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator ELISA Kit

CFTR (CF Transmembrane Conductance Regulator) is a Protein Coding gene. The CFTR gene encodes the CFTR protein, which is a chloride channel located in the plasma membrane of epithelial cells. The CFTR protein functions as a regulator of epithelial ion transport. Mutations in the CFTR gene cause Cystic Fibrosis, an autosomal recessive genetic disorder. An important paralog of CFTR is ABCC4. Pathways associated with CFTR include AMPK Enzyme Complex Pathway and Bacterial infections in CF airways.
