Human CD46 Recombinant Protein
CD46/MCP has cofactor activity for the inactivation of complement components C3b and C4b by serum factor I, which protects autologous cells against complement-mediated injury. The protein CD46/MCP may play a role in the fusion of the spermatozoa with the ovum during fertilization. CD46/MCP also acts as a costimulatory molecule for T-cells, prompting the transformation of CD4+ cells into T-regulatory 1 cells. CD46/MCP gene mutations have been linked with hemolytic uremic syndrome. The pathways regulated by CD46/MCP include the Immune response Lectin-induced complement system and NF-kappaB Signaling. Human CD46 Recombinant Protein is a highly pure recombinant protein developed by Assay Genie for use in a range of applications.
