Description
Human CCL2/MCP Recombinant Protein
CCL2 (Chemokine (C-C Motif) Ligand 2, also known as Monocyte Chemoattractant Protein (MCP-1) and Small Inducible Cytokine A2 (SCYA2)) is a small cytokine that belongs to the CC chemokine family and is involved in monocyte attraction. Its cognate receptor, CCR2, play a critical role in regulating nociceptive processes during neuropathic pain. CCL2 and CCR2 are both linked to the development of autoimmunity. CCL2 stimulates recruitment of monocytes, memory T cells, and dendritic cells to inflammatory sites caused by either tissue injury or infection. CCL2 has been found to play a role in fibrosis and is now being studied as a biomarker and therapeutic target. Human CCL2/MCP Recombinant Protein is a highly pure recombinant protein developed by Assay Genie for use in a range of applications.
