CarboxypeptidaseM/CPM is a membrane-bound arginine/lysine carboxypeptidase protein, CPM also plays a role in the transition of monocytes to macrophages. CPM may be linked to liposarcoma and lateral medullary syndrome (LMS). The metabolism of proteins and the post-translational modification of GPI-anchored proteins are two CarboxypeptidaseM/CPM pathways.
