Description

Human ARHGDIB (Rho GDP-dissociation inhibitor 2) ELISA

ARHGDIB (Rho GDP Dissociation Inhibitor Beta) is a protein-coding gene that, like other GDIs, reduces GDP dissociation from Ras-like GTPases. GTPase-activating proteins (GAPs), guanine nucleotide-releasing factors (GRFs), and GDP-dissociation inhibitors (GDIs) are three categories of proteins that tightly control cycling between the GTP-bound and GDP-bound states. Only when GTP is bound do the GTP-binding proteins become active. Ras-related small GTP-binding proteins, including ARH, are involved in a wide range of cellular activities, including cell signalling, proliferation, cytoskeletal structure and secretion. Severe congenital neutropenia is a disease that is associated with ARHGDIB. Actin nucleation by the ARP-WASP complex and apoptosis and survival caspase cascade are two additional ARHGDIB pathways. ARHGDIB has GO annotations associated with GTPase activity and Rho GDP-dissociation inhibitor activity. ARHGDIA is a paralog of ARHGDIB.
