Annexin A8 (ANXA8) is a calcium-dependent membrane and phospholipid-binding protein member of the Annexin family. The protein molecule is made up of four annexin repeats connected by variable-length connecting sequences. One binding site for calcium and phospholipid may be formed by a pair of annexin repeats. ANXA8 is preferentially expressed in acute promyelocytic leukaemia (APL) cells, which suggests its participation in hematopoietic cell differentiation. ANXA8 is a coagulation-related anticoagulant that inhibits the thromboplastin-specific complex, which is involved in the blood coagulation cascade. Human Annexin A8/ANXA8 Recombinant Protein is a highly pure recombinant protein developed by Assay Genie for use in a range of applications.
