![]() | Western Blot. Positive WB detected in: Rat kidney tissue. All lanes: HOXA4 antibody at 2.3µg/ml. Secondary. Goat polyclonal to rabbit IgG at 1/50000 dilution. Predicted band size: 35 kDa. Observed band size: 35 kDa. |
![]() | IHC image of PACO56836 diluted at 1:800 and staining in paraffin-embedded human brain tissue performed on a Leica BondTM system. After dewaxing and hydration, antigen retrieval was mediated by high pressure in a citrate buffer (pH 6.0). Section was blocked with 10% normal goat serum 30min at RT. Then primary antibody (1% BSA) was incubated at 4°C overnight. The primary is detected by a biotinylated secondary antibody and visualized using an HRP conjugated SP system. |
Background: | Sequence-specific transcription factor which is part of a developmental regulatory system that provides cells with specific positional identities on the anterior-posterior axis. Binds to sites in the 5'-flanking sequence of its coding region with various affinities. The consensus sequences of the high and low affinity binding sites are 5'-TAATGA[CG]-3' and 5'-CTAATTTT-3'. |
Synonyms: | Homeobox protein Hox-A4 (Homeobox protein Hox-1.4) (Homeobox protein Hox-1D), HOXA4, HOX1D |

UniProt Protein Details: | |
NCBI Summary: | In vertebrates, the genes encoding the class of transcription factors called homeobox genes are found in clusters named A, B, C, and D on four separate chromosomes. Expression of these proteins is spatially and temporally regulated during embryonic development. This gene is part of the A cluster on chromosome 7 and encodes a DNA-binding transcription factor which may regulate gene expression, morphogenesis, and differentiation.
