Thermosensitive Gluconokinase, also known as IDNK is a 187 a.a protein whichis a member of the gluconokinase gntK/gntV family. IDNK catalyzes theconversion of ATP and D-gluconate to ADP and 6-phospho-D-gluconate. Inaddition, IDNK is considered to take part in gender determination, deletion ofthe distal portion of 9p is able to lead to a development of male to female sexreversal, the phenotype of a female with a male X, Y genotype.
IDNK E.Coli Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single,non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 210 amino acids (1-187 a.a) andhaving a molecular mass of 23.4kDa.IDNK is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus& purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
