| UniProt Protein Function: | TLE4: Transcriptional corepressor that binds to a number of transcription factors. Inhibits the transcriptional activation mediated by PAX5, and by CTNNB1 and TCF family members in Wnt signaling. The effects of full-length TLE family members may be modulated by association with dominant-negative AES. Homooligomer and heterooligomer with other family members. Binds PAX5, LEF1, TCF7, TCF7L1 and TCF7L2. Interacts with ZNF703; TLE4 may mediate ZNF703 transcriptional repression. In all tissues examined, mostly in brain, and muscle. Belongs to the WD repeat Groucho/TLE family. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing. |
