Description
Product Name: | Anti-Human CD56 (NCAM) (Clone ERIC-1) In Vivo Antibody - Low Endotoxin |
Product Code: | IVMB0339 |
Size: | 1 mg, 5 mg, 25 mg, 50 mg, 100 mg |
Clone: | ERIC-1 |
Protein: | CD56 |
Product Type: | Monoclonal Antibody |
Synonyms: | NCAM, Neural cell adhesion molecule, NKH1, Leu-19 |
Isotype: | IgG1 |
Reactivity: | Human |
Applications: | Dot, ELISA Cap, IHC FFPE, In Vivo, PhenoCycler®, WB |
Formulation: | This monoclonal antibody is aseptically packaged and formulated in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline (150 mM NaCl) PBS pH 7.2 - 7.4 with no carrier protein, potassium, calcium or preservatives added. Due to inherent biochemical properties of antibodies, certain products may be prone to precipitation over time. Precipitation may be removed by aseptic centrifugation and/or filtration. |
Endotoxin Level: | < 1.0 EU/mg as determined by the LAL method |
Purity: | >95% by SDS-PAGE and HPLC |
Product Preparation: | Functional grade preclinical antibodies are manufactured in an animal free facility using in vitro cell culture techniques and are purified by a multi-step process including the use of protein A or G to assure extremely low levels of endotoxins, leachable protein A or aggregates. |
Applications: | Dot, ELISA Cap, IHC FFPE, In Vivo, PhenoCycler®, WB |
Reactivity: | Human |
Host Species: | Mouse |
Specificity: | Mouse Anti-Human CD56 (Clone ERIC-1) recognizes Human CD56. This monoclonal antibody was purified using multi-step affinity chromatography methods such as Protein A or G depending on the species and isotype. Anti-Human CD56 recognizes the (Mr 180, 145, 125 kDa) isoforms of the human neural cell adhesion molecule (NCAM).1 |
Antigen Distribution: | The CD56 (NCAM) antigen is expressed on most neuroectodermal derived cell lines, tissues, and tumors. NCAM is also known to be expressed on some mesodermally derived tissues such as muscle1 and on natural killer (NK) lymphocytes. The binding of ERIC-1 to both normal and neoplastic tissue is lost when tissues are conventionally fixed in formalin and embedded in paraffin. The epitope was preserved when exposed to dehydrating fixatives such as cold acetone (-20EC) for 5 min. CD56 is present on 10-25% of peripheral blood lymphocytes. |
Immunogen: | Human Retinoblastoma tumor |
Concentration: | 1.0 - 5.0 mg/ml |
Endotoxin Level: | < 1.0 EU/mg as determined by the LAL method |

Storage and Handling: | This antibody is stable for at least one week when stored sterile at 2-8°C. For long term storage aseptically aliquot in working volumes without diluting and store at -80°C. Avoid Repeated Freeze Thaw Cycles. |
