Background: |
UniProt Protein Function: | coronin 1B: an actin-binding protein that regulates leading edge dynamics and cell motility in fibroblasts. Coordinates the Arp2/3 complex (includes ACTR2, ARPC1B and ARPC2) cofilin activities at the leading edge. Localized to the leading edge in fibroblasts and weakly along actin stress fibers. Phosphorylation by PKC regulates the interaction with the Arp2/3 complex and cell motility in fibroblasts. Belongs to the WD repeat coronin family. |
